The natural spillway making a left turn out of the willows cascades into Lake Isabelle in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. We had hiked to high chasing the Columbine and wildflowers spread over the high alpine tundra on the surrounding flanks of the lake. By late afternoon we had made our way around south bank of the lake to the west end. A small group of Prairie Primrose had managed to gain a stronghold among the rocks amidst the cascade. The white streams of falls around the flowers created a beautiful setting.
A Pentax 67II Medium format camera with a 55mm lens, f-22, shutter speed at 1/10th of a sec and Fuji Velvia Film (ISO50) were used to capture the timelapsed ribbons of water, and accentuate light on the water.
