This tranquil reflection of Maroon Bells was made near the log jam at the spill way of Maroon Lake at summer’s end. Always looking for dynamic atmospheric to accentuate the drama of the scene, I found high flying Cirrus clouds streaming over the top of South and North Maroon Peak at sunrise.  The reflection of the peaks were positioned among the scattered relics of trees to create a frame-within-a-frame.

A Sony RX10-II DSLR camera with a 24-200mm F2.8mm lens with a focal length of 8.8mm, F-Stop f/6.3;  shutter speed at 1/6th Second;   with  set at ISO 400 were used to capture this photo of Maroon Lake.
