Description

Old Main is the oldest and first building constructed at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I climbed the infamous spiral staircase in the West Tower of Macky Auditorium one windy fall day shortly after sunrise to capture the turret of Old Main with the Flag flying full. With the elements of clouds feathered over the Flatirons, bright blue sky and trees turning yellow orange and red there would never be a better time make a photograph.

A Pentax 67II Medium format camera with a 85mm Zeiss lens, F-Stop set at f-22, shutter speed at 1/60th of a second and Fuji Velvia Film (ISO50) were used to capture Old Main in Fall.
